'Spindly Little Pine at midnight'
Original 5 X 6 inch oil on canvas mounted on panel.
Reaching out in every direction, covered with dew and moonlight, a little frail, but very alive and purposeful, a tiny pine tree casts a slight wavering shadow on a dark summer night. The chatter of crickets, incessant singing of frogs and the lonely call of a lovesick whippoorwill echo through the trees. The air is heavy with the fragrance of night blooming jasmine and gardenia as a warm breeze carries it along.
